Welcome to the Inishowen Summer Gathering 2007.

The Inishowen Gathering is a community initiative whose aim is to celebrate and promote Inishowen's heritage, environment and community.

The Inishowen Gathering will take place this year on Inch Island, a short drive from Letterkenny, Derry, Buncrana. Inch, from 'Inis', meaning island, is in Lough Swilly, and is a wildlife haven, an isolated beauty spot and a place of great historical interest.

The Inishowen Gathering is a family-centred event. It is our aim to create a safe environment, and so we advocate responsible and respectful behaviour. It will be run by local people for locals and visitors alike.

The Inishowen Gathering will…

  • Promote local sustainability
  • Explore natural energy and holistic living
  • Support organic produce and self-reliance
  • Encourage healthy living
  • Revive traditional arts, crafts and skills
  • Demonstrate alternative technologies
  • Inspire all those who attend

The Gathering is a charity event and any voluntary contributions made support the running of the event.
